A retrospective of paintings from the past 45 years

New Cold Wax Paintings

I love how layers of oil & cold wax can bring more light and energy to the surface, allowing for abstract marks and a kind of looseness that I enjoy.

Coastal Landscapes

Small scale images reflecting the quiet beauty of the Long Beach Peninsula

Cloud Studies

I've always loved painting clouds and sunsets. Here are some of my large scale oils, based on sunsets seen in the northwest as well as Hawaii.

Small Sculptural Paintings

Small dimensional paintings, celebrating the joys of nature. They are sculpted in air-dry clay adhered to canvas, painted with acrylics & embellished with gold leaf, threads and natural materials. Something special!

Hawaii Years

Oil paintings from Hawaii. I wanted more texture so turned to palette knife for many. They are bright, happy and fun.

Journey to Self

This series emerged after moving to Hawaii. Each painting appeared quite magically on my canvas, illustrating the deeply personal emotional journey I undertook during those years.

Earlier Work

Here are some of my favorite paintings from years past on the Oregon coast , where I specialized in landscapes in soft pastels on paper and acrylics on canvas.
